Chicken Collagen Type II

Chicken collagen type 2 is from chicken sternum, which is rich in protein, mucopolysaccharides and hyaluronic acid. It is treated as a complex of chondroitin, collagen and HA and foundation of support for connective tissues. It is the most common type found in cartilage and synovial fluid, which lubricates our joints. 
There are 28 types of collagen in the body, each of which has a unique structure. Collagen is made of over 20 types of amino acids, which is mainly composed of glycine, hydroxyproline, proline, arginine etc. What's more, collagen sources vary and include beef, fish, porcine (Types I and III collagen) and chicken (for Type II collagen).

Collagen type 2 could only be from chicken sternum.
